Youth Ministry

EYC is an inviting, fun, loving environment where Youth can learn and grow together in the love of God and Christ

We have designed a Youth program at St. Michael’s to meet students’ needs, no matter where they are on their faith journey. All of our programs and events are open to youth and young adults of any Christian faith, and those with no particular church affiliation, wanting to learn more about Christianity. Our most popular youth program is “EYC.” We also host Sunday School, Bible studies, various retreats, mission opportunities, and big events! We grow in faith through teaching, prayer, fellowship, worship, and service.

Retreats and Other Events

Annual Back to School Lock-in

Held before Labor Day, this includes lock-in full of games, food, and ending with either worshiping at St. Michael’s.

Grounded Youth Retreat:

Grounded is a conference-style youth retreat event designed for you and your youth to hear, engage and experience the gospel of Christ. All while being able to stay at home in between sessions.

New Beginnings Retreat:

New Beginnings, a long-standing ministry created in the Diocese of Central Florida, will host a unique retreat for middle school students, led by high school and college students with support from adult leaders.

Summer Mission Trips

Depending on the year, we’ll either spend a week helping others in a different city, for example in the Appalachian Mountains, or 10 days in Jamaica. This is a great way to be the hands and feet of Christ who has given us so much. Mission trips also include daily devotions, worship, and fun activities such as white-water rafting, or swimming and shopping day in a nearby town.

Soul in the City

Soul in the City is a five-day mission experience that brings students together from across the Diocese of Central Florida to serve, think deeply, and build real friendships that last. Whether you are part of a youth group or an Episcopal school, this week is an invitation to step into the care and purpose of God.
